When it comes to developing and producing the absolutely right colors for our customers’ plastics, our work processes mesh perfectly and ensure that our colors turn plastics into little works of art, even in the long term.
We talk about it: At the very beginning of our work is the intensive exchange with our customers. In joint coordination, we define the project requirements, examine color templates and product artwork brought in and discuss the color mix together with our customers and our colorists.
The fine art of color adjustment is then a matter for experts. Our colorists are experienced specialists in mixing pigment combinations and always find the right tone. Unusual customer requests and curious patterns as templates are no problem for us. With more than 70 years of experience and the existing know-how in colorimetry, we are the ideal partner for your project.
We test beforehand: The quality of a color is shown in its behavior during processing. Because we know this, we test the developed color preparation under customer-specific production conditions.
To do this, we access the very technologies that are also used in the customer’s production, including injection molding, flat and blown film extrusion, bottle blow extrusion (PE and PP) and injection blow molding (PET).
We get to the bottom of things: with the help of technical analysis methods, we can quickly and easily determine which product is suitable for the application, in which quality, with its properties, and how the best possible processability can be achieved.
For example, we can determine warpage, dispersibility, homogeneity or compatibility with the products’ carrier materials without the need for costly and time-consuming measurement methods. Based on the analyzed data, the color formulations can be implemented or adapted quickly and easily.
In addition, targeted analysis can usually quickly determine the cause of processing problems, which significantly increases the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of production processes.
To ensure that our analytical laboratory always guarantees maximum efficiency and precision, we continuously adapt our technical equipment to the latest state of the art. As new processes and technologies become available, we also re-analyze existing formulations and update and optimize them as needed. This means that our recipes are always up to date and meet the highest quality standards.
We produce at our company headquarters. Not only the development and manufacturing stages, but also the actual production of all color preparations takes place exclusively at our company headquarters in Wuppertal according to the most modern +standards.
Here we have fully automated high-bay warehouses that provide the necessary raw materials for the next production stage under computer control. Mixing tanks are filled from silos with the common pigments and the polymers to be added for extrusion. The pigment mixture is then available for the production of the actual colorant. Our extrusion lines are fed directly from the mixing containers.
We maintain state-of-the-art extrusion lines for the production of our masterbatches. This means that customer-specific colors can also be produced economically in a timely manner in both small and large batches. For questions regarding our production, we are always personally available to our customers.
We know no compromises. For our customers, an absolutely exact color result is crucial. To guarantee them this and to ensure consistent quality of our inks, we regularly carry out comprehensive quality checks and tests. Our quality control inspectors are experienced specialists who have access to the most modern quality control procedures and technologies.
Another component of quality assurance is the training of our employees by our department experts. In this way, they can be made aware of potential problems in the manufacturing process in advance of production. In this way, errors and inaccuracies in ink production can be avoided and the production standard maintained or improved at a consistently high level.

In our well-equipped quality assurance department, our specialists can subject the products to a wide variety of analytical procedures at all stages of development. They ensure that only products that fully meet the quality standard expected by our customers leave our premises.
Optical quality checks
Hardly any optical instrument is as precise as the human eye. Therefore, we always perform visual inspections for our products to visually assess the color settings. We can determine any deviations on the basis of samples and by visual comparison with the color sample approved by the customer.
For the further development of our formulations, we also subject them to various stress and quality tests. For example, we test lightfastness or thermal and mechanical resistance. This enables us to ensure that our formulations meet the customer’s technical requirements.
